The EQ-I 2.0, a product of Multi-Health Systems in Toronto, Canada, yields 15 competencies ranging from the individuals’ sense of Self-Regard to the degree of Optimism they carry into the unknown. These competencies tell a story of how the person is operating in the world at that moment in time: how do they feel (Self-Regard)? are they impetuous(Impulsivity)? do they assert themselves (Assertiveness)? do they have a personal vision (Self-Actualization)? do they manage stress well (Stress Tolerance)? and, most importantly, are they happy ( captured through the combination of four competencies: Self-Regard, Interpersonal Relationships, Self-Actualization and Optimism).
These 15 competencies paint the individual in black and white. The color is added to the picture in therapy to make sense out of what the competencies are suggesting. Through imagining, visioning and feeling what is achievable, change becomes possible and real. Using the information provided by the EQ-I 2.0 Comprehensive Feedback Report as a map, accelerates the therapeutic process. Strengthening and/or softening specific social and emotional competencies will greatly contribute to reaching your therapeutic goal(s).
This website offers the reader a new lens through which you can improve your social and emotional life. The EQ-I 2.0 results is like having an MRI which details, at this moment in time, how you understand and use your emotions.
